On January 25, 2024, the #IAmLeandro Campaign launched in collaboration with NCCU's Social Justice and Racial Equity Institute and Community Conversations. This inaugural event brought together passionate voices in educational justice, including law students and advocacy leaders, to spotlight the historic Leandro v. NC case and its profound implications for students across North Carolina.

This WRAL documentary, led by investigative reporter Cristin Severance and photojournalist Jay Jennings, follows the case’s complex history and shows what’s at stake for every student in North Carolina.
