#IAmLeandro Campaign Inaugural Event: Launching a Movement for Educational Equity

On January 25, 2024, the #IAmLeandro Campaign launched in collaboration with NCCU's Social Justice and Racial Equity Institute and Community Conversations. This inaugural event brought together passionate voices in educational justice, including law students and advocacy leaders, to spotlight the historic Leandro v. NC case and its profound implications for students across North Carolina. As we embark on a statewide speaking tour, our mission is clear: to educate communities about the Leandro Plan, a mandate for equitable funding in public education, and to inspire collective action that champions the constitutional right of every child to a sound basic education.
