COMING AUGUST 28, 2021! The Ultimate Jerusalema ILM Challenge

Martin Luther King, Jr. established a legacy of hope and a dream that all children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by their character. The Jerusalema Challenge in Wilmington, NC fuels that dream with a celebration of hope. Our mission is to teach the Jerusalema line dance to all children and caregivers in after school programs across New Hanover County, and to bring teams from across the county together virtually or live on the anniversary of the I Have a Dream speech, August 28, 2021, to dance, to celebrate, and to raise money for educational resources for children. Our dream is that one day, all children in our community will have equal access to resources — from mentors to technology, from books and school supplies to improved physical buildings — to succeed in school, in work, in society, and in life. We hope you’ll be a part of our dance challenge, either as a teacher of the dance, a dancer, a cheerleader, or a financial supporter.
